If you would like my recipe, please request it. Also you may substitute out cheesecake for herbed or regular goat cheese, cream cheese or any soft cheese).

I prefer shopping organically, so that is my recommendation for the ingredients above...but it's totally up to you.

Wash strawberries and let dry. Cut thin slice off bottom of strawberry so it can sit flat, then cut thin slice off top to remove stem. Finally cut center of strawberry out to create basket.

If you purchase a cheesecake, remove crust. Put a couple scoops of cheesecake filling into a plastic baggie, squeeze all the filling to one corner, twist the top of the baggie until all the air is out and there is pressure on that corner, cut the tip of the corner to create piping bag and fill the strawberries, creating peaks of cheesecake. If you need additional assistance on this step or any other step, please watch this quick & fun video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hFK9LEk8-w4

Mix 2 tbsp of huckleberry syrup to every 1 tbsp of honey or to taste. Then drizzle sparingly over the top of the strawberries.

Mix 1/4 tsp. of real silver powder into 1 cup of confectioner's sugar. Put into sifter and sprinkle sparingly over strawberries.

A small cheesecake will fill several quarts of strawberries, so it will make at least two nice size platters of hors d'oeuvres. Serve cold on a beautiful tray for an elegant dessert that pairs perfectly with champagne and whites, especially SUNBOX eleven Winery "the maverick" 2007 Marsanne Roussanne and "the nice" 2007 Viognier. Enjoy!

POST A FAB STORY INVOLVING FOOD, WINE & TRAVEL ADVENTURES...

Every year we make an annual pilgrimage to Bern's Steak House in Tampa, FL to celebrate Chef Superdave's birthday at his favorite restaurant. We are always a spectacle with our food & wine pairing adventures. Albeit their hard-to-get reservation, we have even been allowed to use one of their coveted tables just to rest our excessive wine bottles. This photo was captured on Superdave's 40th birthday, where 17 people came in from all over the world to celebrate this momentous birthday in a private room starting with several caviars matched with the bubbly to tartars matched with whites to a soup course, tableside caesar course, then Chatueaubriand and lobster, finishing in the private dessert rooms upstairs. 17 crazy, outrageous peeps consumed a total of 36 bottles, including some magnums that ranged from a '67 Chateau d'Yquem to '05 Seasmoke Pinot to '92 Hanzell Chardonnay to '97 Sassicaia and so on.

SHARE YOUR FAVORITE OR MOST UNUSUAL FOOD & WINE PAIRING...

Sunny puts her answer under the category of favorite and most unusual pairing with Lobster & Pinot...yes, it's perfect!
